Summary: An electrochemiluminescence (ECL) aptasensor with aptamer, N-doped carbon dots (NCDs), and DNA tetrahedral nanostructure (DTN) was developed for ultra-sensitive detection of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1). The sensor exhibited excellent sensitivity, with a low detection limit and wide linear concentration range, as well as high accuracy and recovery in spiked Coix seed matrices. The successful application of the sensor in actual samples confirmed its practicality as a universal platform for trace contaminant detection by altering aptamers.

Summary: Researchers have developed a novel nano couple platform for detecting cardiac biomarkers. By utilizing immunocomplex formation between antigen and antibody, the pre-quenched fluorescence of monoclonal antibody conjugated nano fluorophore was successfully lighted up. This system selectively detects the presence of cardiac troponin-T (cTnT) by giving an enhanced fluorescence signal proportional to the concentration of cTnT antigen, achieved by disrupting the direct contact of the cluster and two-dimensional sheet through specific antigen-antibody interaction forming an immunocomplex.

Summary: This study presents a method to fabricate independently functioning microneedle (MN) electrodes with narrow intervals for high precision electrochemical sensing. The optimized mixture of photocurable polymer and single-wall carbon nanotubes was used to mold single composite MNs, which were then attached to pre-patterned electrodes. Plasma etching and electropolymerization were performed to enhance the electrochemical activity, and Prussian blue and glucose oxidase were electrodeposited on the MNs for glucose detection. The MN electrodes showed good sensitivity and linearity, and the feasibility of glucose detection was demonstrated in an in vivo mouse study.
