Green HRM, environmental awareness and green behaviors: The moderating role of servant leadership

The lack of research on antecedents and integrating theories is also noted.

Immersive technology: A meta-analysis of augmented/virtual reality applications and their impact on tourism experience

Summary: This study explores the application of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) in tourism from an integrated perspective and confirms the importance of presence as the core feature of AR/VR in tourism. The study findings show that presence has both direct and indirect effects on tourism experience through the mediators of value perception and psychological response. Additionally, the study identifies simulation type and social interaction as positive moderators of the effect of presence on tourism experience, while prior visitation has a negative moderating effect.

Investigating the mediating role of visitor satisfaction in the relationship between memorable tourism experiences and behavioral intentions in heritage tourism context

Summary: This study investigates the interplay of memorable tourism experiences in driving behavioral intentions of heritage tourists through the mediating role of satisfaction. The results show that dimensions of MTE significantly influence tourists' behavioral intentions, with heterogeneity among respondents highlighting the positive effects of hedonism and novelty on satisfaction, revisit, and word-of-mouth intentions. This study enriches empirical evidence and identifies significant dimensions and combinations to predict behavioral intentions.

'I want to record and share my wonderful journey': Chinese Millennials' production and sharing of short-form travel videos on TikTok or Douyin

Summary: This study investigates the reasons behind tourists' engagement with travel videos on the short-form video sharing platform TikTok. Through semi-structured interviews with 12 tourists, who consume, produce, and share travel videos on TikTok, the study finds that consuming and creating TikTok touristic fantasies, hashtagging travel experiences, and storing meaningful life moments in a public diary are the primary motivations for tourists' engagement with TikTok travel videos. The study suggests that the use of TikTok as a visual storytelling platform extends to the tourism context, blurring the boundaries between tourism experiences and everyday life.

Digitalization and sustainability: virtual reality tourism in a post pandemic world

Summary: This study proposes a sequential mechanism of the interplay of antecedents and outcomes using stimulus-organism-response theory (SOR), theorizing VR tourism as a sustainable solution even after the pandemic. Through analyzing responses from 359 VR users, the model confirms the positive associations of environmental impact, pandemic travel anxiety, and eco-guilt with VR tourism attitude and willingness.

It shows that Airbnb is most commonly used for renting out entire apartments by multi-hosts. The number of listings depends on economic development and inbound tourism. The supply is concentrated in big cities and coastal areas, and it grows fastest in new markets. Professional hosts are experiencing faster growth than peer-to-peer hosts.

The economic impact of a global pandemic on the tourism economy: the case of COVID-19 and Macao's destination- and gambling-dependent economy
