Summary: This study investigated the role and mechanisms of NTS in stress-induced hair growth inhibition. The results demonstrated that NTS effectively counteracted hair growth inhibition caused by stress and regulated the expression of multiple genes related to hair growth at the transcriptional level.

Although its efficacy is not well-understood, PRP has shown potential in treating dermatologic conditions such as hair loss, vitiligo, nonhealing wounds, photoaging, and acne scars.

Summary: This study is a Randomized Control Trial (RCT) evaluating the effectiveness of an emollient and rehydrating topical product in healthcare workers with hand eczema during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data showed that patients treated with the tested product had greater reductions in clinical and psychological scores compared to those treated with a basic cream. The study also confirmed the connection between dermatological and psychological indicators.

Effectiveness and safety of ustekinumab for the treatment of psoriasis; six years of clinical experience

Summary: This study investigated the long-term clinical experience with ustekinumab in psoriasis cases. It was found that ustekinumab was effective for non-naive and resistant patients. Male patients showed more rapid and robust responses to the drug, and patients were more willing to continue the treatment.

Efficacy and safety evaluations of adalimumab biosimilars in the treatment of psoriasis

Summary: This study systematically evaluated the efficacy and safety of adalimumab biosimilar agents in the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis, providing evidence-based reference data for clinical practice. The results showed that there were no significant differences in the response rates and adverse events between adalimumab biosimilar agents and their reference agents after 16 weeks of treatment. Therefore, adalimumab biosimilar agents have a comparable overall efficacy and safety profile for psoriasis compared to their reference agents.

Potential biomarkers for psoriasis topical treatment by in-depth serum proteomics

Unlocking potential: clinical benefits of enlarging the nail bed explored through continuous W-shaped incisions

Effects and safety of fire needle adjuvant chemical peels therapy in acne vulgaris: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Summary: Fire needle adjuvant chemical peels therapy is effective and safe for acne vulgaris, improving the total effective rate and skin lesions, while reducing the recurrence rate. The application of fire needle is associated with few adverse reactions that are well tolerated and transient. However, more large-scale, well-designed clinical studies are needed for evidence-based medical support.

Guidelines for managing moderate-to-severe AD in Qatar have been developed by a panel of experts using the Delphi technique. These guidelines offer a comprehensive and pragmatic approach to assist healthcare professionals in making clinical decisions in Qatar.

Schnitzler syndrome refractory to anakinra: successful treatment with canakinumab

Summary: Schnitzler syndrome (SchS) is a rare autoimmune and inflammatory disease mediated by interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β). Diagnosis requires recurrent monoclonal gammopathy and chronic urticarial rash according to the Strasbourg criteria. Treatment with canakinumab has been successful in a case of SchS after intolerance to anakinra and failure of other therapies. Canakinumab, an anti-IL-1β antibody, has proven to be an effective alternative to anakinra in SchS.

Comparative effectiveness among available treatments in difficult-to-treat port-wine stains (PWS): a Network Meta-Analysis of observational evidence

Summary: In this study, the comparative effectiveness among treatments for difficult-to-treat port-wine stains was evaluated. The results suggest that intense pulsed light (IPL) and 585 nm long-pulsed dye laser (LPDL) may be more effective than 585 nm short-pulsed dye laser (SPDL). Further clinical trials are needed to confirm these findings.

Experiences and coping behaviors of patients with psoriasis: a qualitative study

Summary: This qualitative study aimed to explore the experiences and coping behaviors of patients with psoriasis. Through semi-structured interviews, 20 patients with psoriasis from a regional teaching hospital in Taiwan were recruited. The results showed that patients experienced physical and psychological distress, but managed the disease through different coping strategies.
