Consumer perceived risk of using autonomous retail technology

Summary: Recent technological advances have led to the emergence of autonomous consumer-facing retail technologies that perform mental and physical tasks on behalf of the consumer. However, consumers are hesitant to use these technologies and there is limited research on the factors inhibiting consumer adoption. This study integrates consumer perceived risk theory and the motivation-opportunity-ability framework to develop and test a model of consumer perceived risk of using autonomous retail technology. The findings highlight the multidimensional and unique nature of consumer perceived risk and identify factors that mitigate it, such as consumer innovativeness, self-efficacy, and retailer trustworthiness. These results have important implications for the study of consumer-facing technology and for retailers.

The uncertainties of the carbon peak and the temporal and regional heterogeneity of its driving factors in China

Summary: The article examines the issue of unbalanced regional development and carbon peak in China, and analyzes the factors influencing the dynamic path of carbon decoupling. The results indicate that only Beijing has reached the carbon peak state of G7 countries, and only a few provinces have evolved along the strong decoupling path. In China, the intensity reduction rate, the growth rate of marketization index, and foreign direct investment play an increasingly important role in reaching the carbon peak. Regional heterogeneity also affects the influence of factors, with variations in regression coefficients across different regions.

Summary: AI is transforming the healthcare system with innovations in diagnosis, drug research, and medical treatments. However, concerns and dilemmas related to data misuse, AI efficiency, user resistance, investment costs, and funding issues have been raised. This study explores the technological paradoxes associated with AI adoption in healthcare using paradox theory and investigates medical practitioners' views on using AI services. The study analyzes the efficacy and limitations of AI services, identifies ethical dilemmas faced by practitioners, and suggests strategies for adoption. Primary drivers identified include ease of use, automation efficacy, diagnostic accuracy, and cost efficiency. Concerns such as lack of training, cultural considerations, privacy issues, and work insecurity are highlighted. The study contributes to the existing literature on paradox theory and AI, highlighting under-discussed areas, drivers, and barriers of AI adoption in healthcare.

Experiencing awe, engaging in extreme sports: Incidental awe as an effective promoter for extreme sports engagement
