A study of the spectroscopy and decay properties of the B and B-s mesons is carried out within the framework of the phenomenological quark-antiquark potential model using the Hydrogenic and the Gaussian wave function. The spin-hyperfine, spin-orbit and the tensor interactions are employed to obtain the pseudoscalar and vector meson masses incorporating the effect of mixing. The decay constants (f(P/V)) are computed using the wave function at the origin. The leptonic branching fractions, electromagnetic transition rates and mixing parameters of the B and B-s are also calculated in this scheme. Our predictions are in good agreement with the experimental results as well as the lattice and other theoretical models.
