A unique supramolecular network of the trimetallic building unit [(bPY)(2)Ru(LO)Na(LO)Ru(bpy)(2)](ClO4)(5)center dot 3H(2)O {bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, LO = 7-methoxy-5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2,3-bis-(4-methoxyphenylimino)-3,5-dihydro-2H-phenazin-1-one} is described. Crystal growth is driven by several synergistic intermolecular interactions including ClO4-pi, pi-pi, C-H center dot center dot center dot pi and hydrogen bonding.
