Effect of music on the recovery of a patient with refractory nonconvulsive status epilepticus

The effect of music in epilepsy has been reported as beneficial but mainly in the interictal condition. There are no reports of the effect of music in an acute condition such as status epilepticus. Herein, we report a remarkable response to music in a patient with medically refractory nonconvulsive status epilepticus. (C) 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
