Summary: Biodiesels are essential due to the depletion of petroleum fuels, offering better performance and emissions except for NOx. Water injection and emulsification are cost-effective methods to reduce NOx emissions in Biodiesel-fueled engines, although they also increase HC and CO emissions. These technologies significantly reduce NOx and particulate matter emissions but come with the drawback of increased HC, CO emissions, and specific fuel consumption.
