We report the fabrication of BiOCl nanoflake film by a simple and reliable hydrolysis of BiCl3 ethanol solution at room temperature. The as-prepared film, when modified with 1H, 1H, 2H, 2H,-perfluorodecyltrichlorosilane (FDTS), exhibits excellent superhydrophobicity and long-term durability under UV light irradiation for the first time.
