Luminescence from pi-pi stacked bipyridines through arene-perfluoroarene interactions

Red-shifted photoluminescence is observed in the co-crystal of arene- and perfluoroarene-attached bipyridines, which is a perfectly layered array through arene-perfluoroarene interactions.
