In response to the construction wastes in the process of large scale reconstruction and innovation, the recovery of cement via rehydration was studied. We fabricated Tris(2-hydroxyethyl) amine-Graphene Oxide (TEA-GO) to achieve the micromechanical recovery of waste cement under sufficient sodium silicate. BET indicated a finer pore structure of rehydrated samples due to the nano-filler effect of TEA-GO. Xray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy and Nano indentation demonstrated the main composition of rehydrated cement was high stiffness C-S-H. Finally, the smooth topography and highly increased Young's modulus from AFM suggested the obviously improved micromechanical properties of rehydrated cement, which were even superior than the commonly used one. Results obtained in this research will extend the knowledge into mechanical recovery of waste cement and provide a promising route for the recycle of waste cement on a large scale.
