Combining a geographic information system's spatial analysis functions and comprehensive fuzzy sets lets researchers evaluate and analyze the ecological suitability of olive tree cultivation in Sichuan, China. Post years' experience in olive planting and amelioration data that considers climate, soil, and topography aided this analysis, which produced results that will guide future olive cultivation in the region.
