The present article deals with the three-dimensional rotating flow of nanofluid above a linearly stretching disk. The base fluid is treated as water while copper oxide - CuO, copper - Cu and silver - Ag nanoparticles are considered for the analysis. Adequate transformations lead to a strongly non-linear differential system which is treated through numerical approach. We notice that uniform stretching of the disk plays an important role in the reduction of boundary layer thickness. It is found that both skin friction coefficient and heat transfer rate from the disk enhance when the volume fraction of nanoparticles is increased. Moreover the axial velocity is negative due to the downward flow in the vertical direction which is the consequence of the stretching disk. Plots for two-and three-dimensional streamlines are presented and analyzed. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
