Stereoselective synthesis of 3,4-dihydro-7-nitrocoumarins via isocyanide-based multicomponent reaction

A stereoselective method for the synthesis of 3,4-dihydro-7-nitrocoumarin derivatives via an isocyanide-based four-component reaction is described. The reaction can be carried out as a simple one-pot protocol in good yields without using any catalyst or activator at room temperature in short reaction time. (C) 2012 Academie des sciences.
