Neutron Spectroscopic Factors of 7Li and Astrophysical 6Li(n,γ)7Li Reaction Rates

Angular distributions of the Li-7(Li-6, Li-6)Li-7 elastic scattering and the Li-7(Li-6, Li-7(g.s.))Li-6, Li-7(Li-6, Li-7(0.48))Li-6 transfer reactions at E-c.m. = 23.7 MeV are measured with the Q3D magnetic spectrograph. The optical potential of Li-6 + Li-7 is obtained by fitting the elastic scattering differential cross sections. Based on the distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA) analysis, spectroscopic factors of Li-7 = Li-6 circle times n are determined to be 0.73 +/- 0.05 and 0.90 +/- 0.09 for the ground and first exited states in Li-7, respectively. Using the spectroscopic factors, the cross sections of the Li-6(n,gamma(0,1))Li-7 direct neutron capture reactions and the astrophysical Li-6(n,gamma)Li-7 reaction rates are derived.
