Synthesis and identification of dinitro- and diaminoterephthalic acid

Dinitroterephthalic acid (DNTPA) and diaminoterephthalic acid (DATPA) were prepared in 85% and 75% yields, respectively. These compounds were characterized by using FITR and (HNMR)-H-1.
