Electrode kinetic data for the electro-reduction of 4-nitrophenol in aqueous solution are compared for bulk silver macroelectrodes and arrays of silver nanoparticles of size 15-50 nm. The electrode kinetics and mechanism change qualitatively and quantitatively.
