Preparation of Silica Particles Modified with Base-amplifying Groups and Their Application to Anionic UV Curing

We have prepared silica particles modified with base-amplifying groups and applied these particles to anionic UV curing materials to prepare organic inorganic nanocomposites. We have succeeded in the preparation of a coating film containing 74 wt % of modified silica particles. Surprisingly, the film showed high mechanical strength and transparency.
