An efficient iron(II)-catalyzed alkoxycarbonylation reaction between N-vinylacetamides and carbazates is reported. The corresponding useful highly substituted (beta-acylamino) acrylates could be obtained in reasonable to good yields and stereoselectivity under mild reaction conditions.
