Herein, we report the facile synthesis of mesoporous NiCo2O4 nanoflakes and their application in nonaqueous Li-O-2 batteries as cathode catalysts. The assembled Li-O-2 batteries presented lower over-potentials and enhanced cyclability, which should be attributed to the superior electrocatalytic activity and the mesoporous nanostructure of NiCo2O4.
