Amorphous Cu(II) nanoclusters grafted WO3 particles were coated on a smooth TiO2 film, and site selective depositions of PbO2 and metal Ag particles by photocatalytic processes were observed on TiO2 and WO3 due to transfer of holes to TiO2, and accumulation of electrons in WO3 respectively. As a result, the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 modified Cu(II)-WO3 increased similar to 3.5 fold higher than that of Cu(II)-WO3.
