Cation-responsive silver-selective organogel-exploiting silver-alkene interactions in the gel-phase

We report a gelator that is responsive to Ag+ and Li+ cations but unresponsive to Na+ and K+, and demonstrate that silveralkene interactions play a vital role in mediating the selective gel-sol response to Ag+.
