Amorphous FePO4 hollow nanospheres were directly grown on graphene for use as a cathode material in lithium ion batteries. This hybrid exhibits high rate capability and good cycle stability because of efficient Li+ ion diffusion through the thin wall of the hollow nanospheres and fast electron transport through the graphene.
