Superior ion-exchanged ZSM-5 catalysts for selective catalytic oxidation of ammonia to nitrogen

Fe-ZSM-5 showed the best catalytic performance (nearly 100% N-2 yield) and resistance to water vapor for selective catalytic oxidation of NH3 to N-2 at a high gas hourly space velocity (2.3 x 10(5) h(-1)) among transition-metal (Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni and Cu) ion-exchanged ZSM-5 catalysts.
