Synthesis, structural characterization and binding studies of a novel dinuclear gold(I) calix[4]crown acetylide complex

A novel dinuclear gold(I) calix[4]crown acetylide complex, [Au(PPh3)](2)L, has been synthesized and structurally characterized; binding studies of the complex revealed a high K+/Na+ selectivity.
