An isoflavone from Pterocarpus santalinus

A new isoflavone together with liquiritigenin and isoliquiritigenin has been isolated from the heartwood of Pterocarpus santalinus. Based on spectral methods, the structure of the new compound was elucidated as 6-hydroxy,7,2',4',5'-tetramethoxyisoflavone. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
