Approaches for experimental evaluation of chelating agents

向作者/读者索取更多资源

In practice, the efficacies of clinically approved chelating agents and the testing of new substances are often best achieved by animal studies in which known amounts of chemical forms of radionuclides, and chelating agents, are administered under controlled conditions. This paper identifies important criteria in the design of such studies and reviews the progress, or lack of it, that has occurred during the last decade in the decorporation of plutonium, americium, thorium, uranium, neptunium and caesium from the body.
