Synthesis of a high-energy-capacity compound, tetrammine-cis-bis(nitro-2H-tetrazolato-N-2)cobalt(III) perchlorate

The conditions for preparing tetrammine-cis-bis(nitro-2H-tetrazolato-N-2)cobalt(III) perchlorate and the nature of impurities affecting the yield and purity of the target product were studied. The compound can be efficiently prepared using microwave heating.
