(1-x)NBT-xBS ceramics were prepared by solid state method and their energy-storage properties were investigated. The XRD data showed that all samples exhibited perovskite structure and the stable solid solutions formed between NBT and BS. With increasing the contents of BS, the relaxor behavior was obvious. The optimal T-m of 90.53 degrees C and permittivity of 1526 were obtained in x = 0.2625 sample, leading to a high energy-storage density of 1.99 J/cm(3) and energy efficiency of 86.6% at the applied electric field of 200 kV/cm. This work demonstrated (1-x)NBT-xBS as a good candidate of energy-storage base material.
