Robustness of Williams Square change-over designs

In literature, Williams Square change-over designs balanced for first residual effects of treatments have been proved to be universally optimal. Here, an attempt has been made to show that these designs are robust against missing of last alpha [less than or equal to nu - 1; nu being the number of periods in the design for nu treatments] observations from an experimental unit.
