Synthesis and biological evaluation of a PtdIns(4,5)P-2 and a phosphatidic acid affinity matrix

Analogues of dipalmitoyl phosphatidic acid (PA), dilauroyl PA and phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate [PtdIns(4,5)P-2] were synthesised and immobilised onto a solid support, Affi-Gel 10. Using them as affinity matrices, a number of known proteins as well as a set of novel proteins were found to bind specifically to PA.
