One pot electrooxidative conversion of aromatic 1,2-diketones into methyl carboxylates

One-pot conversion of several aromatic1,2-diketones into the corresponding methyl carboxylates was performed by indirect electrooxidation using iodide ion as an electron carrier in the presence of catalytic amount of sodium cyanide.
