An efficient pathway to synthesize biaryls and terphenyls through ligand-free palladium nanoparticles (PdNPs) catalyzed Suzuki cross-coupling reactions has been developed. Mild reaction conditions, high yields of desired products, absence of inert atmosphere and short reaction times are the notable features of this method. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
