The volatile constituents of Ajuga parviflora Benth. were isolated by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC and GC-MS. beta-caryophyllene (22.4 %), gamma-muurolene (12.7 %), gamma-terpinene (6.3 %), caryophyllene oxide (6.2 %), alpha-humulene (5.8 %), delta-cadinene (4.3 %), alpha-amorphene (3.8 %) and beta-selinen (2.5 %) were found to be the major constituents of the essential oil along with other minor constituents. The composition of oil is being reported for the first time.
