Amberlyst-catalyzed reaction of indole: Synthesis of bisindolylalkane

Amberlyst was found to be an effective catalyst for the condensation reactions of indoles 2 with aldehydes 3 to afford bisindolylalkanes 1 in good to excellent yields.
