We show theoretically that one can generate substantial spin-independent dc currents in the zinc-blende quantum wells in the absence of electrical bias via quantum interference of the absorption for two orthogonal polarization components of a single frequency beam propagating in the plane of quantum wells. This effect can be used for efficient generation of THz radiation.
