The variation of optical properties of Ba0.75Al11O17.25:Mn2+ with the increase of Mn2+ concentration was investigated under vacuum ultraviolet excitation. A redshift of emission peak and a decrease of decay time with Mn2+ concentration were observed. After analysis by a method of Pade approximations developed by Yokota and Tanimoto, these phenomena are attributed to the formation of Mn2+ paired centers.
