Bis(phosphinimino)methanides as ligands in the chemistry of the rare earth elements

Rare earth element complexes having the very bulky bis(phosphinimino)methanides ligand, {CH(PPh2NSiMe3)(2)}(-), in the coordination sphere are reviewed. The coordination chemistry, the reactivity, and the catalytic application of the corresponding complexes are discussed.
