Solvothermal route to synthesize well-dispersed YBO3 : Eu nanocrystals

Well-dispersed YBO3:Eu nanocrystals have been fabricated by a solvothermal method. The size and morphology of the products are controlled successfully via adjusting the reaction conditions. The prepared YBO3:Eu phosphors were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and other techniques. The luminescence mechanism and the size dependence of their fluorescence properties are also explained.
