The conceptual framework for this study was met expectations. The theory of met expectations tells us that if a new employee comes to the position with a realistic understanding of what the position entails, he or she is more likely to be satisfied with the work. Satisfied employees are more likely to be better performers. The search is unequivocal. Unmet expectations lead to job dissatisfaction and job dissatisfaction leads to numerous organizational problems. The predominant theme that emerged from thee interviews was that the participants did not have a realistic understanding of what is expected of a faulty member, and therefore, their expectations were unmet.
