Two-photon excitation/ionization of atomic inner shells

The absolute values and shape of the two-photon one-electron excitation/ionization cross section of the 1s shell of the neon atom, including the effects of relaxation of the atomic residue in the field of the creating vacancies, are calculated. The results of the calculations have the character of a prediction.
