Magnetic iron fibers of diameter down to 2 mu m have been prepared by using bundle-drawing method. The complex permeability and complex permittivity of iron fiber-epoxy resin composites have been measured in S band. The measurement results show that iron fibers present magnetic loss at microwave frequency, and that the microwave permeability and permittivity of iron fibers decrease with the increase of fiber diameter and the decrease of aspect ratio, respectively.
