We have measured the 3d resonant x-ray photoemission spectra of the mixed-valent intermetalic compound CeRh3, at the Ce L-3 (2P(3/2) --> 5d) edge. An impurity Anderson model with 4f-5d Coulomb interaction is employed to analyze theoretically these spectra. Full multiplet coupling effects including the 2p-3d5d Auger decay process are taken into account. Good agreement with experimental and calculated spectra is obtained. The existence of the 4f(2) component hidden in the L-3, white line and the importance of the 4f-5d Coulomb interaction in the final state of L-3, absorption are confirmed.
