Perceptual judgments and acoustic correlates of stress were compared for bisyllabic words produced by five children with developmental apraxia of speech (4;2 to 8;2 years). Stress placement was coded as misplaced, equal, unreliable, or correct based on perceptual judgments. Acoustic measures included peak fundamental frequency, fundamental frequency excursion, peak amplitude, and duration. Perceptual codes differed based on word type and the acoustic correlates of peak fundamental frequency and peak amplitude.
