Michael addition of artemisitene

Michael addition of artemisitene with triazole, benzotriazole or benzimidazole under non- or base-catalyzed conditions yielded compounds 3a-c and 4a-c. They showed high antimalarial activity against Plasmodium berghei in mice. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
