Monitoring solid-phase glycoside synthesis with 19F NMR spectroscopy

[GRAPHICS] A simple and efficient method for monitoring and optimizing carbohydrate synthesis on polymeric support by using F-19 NMR spectroscopy is described. The method relies on the use of fluorinated variants of protective groups that are in common use in oligosaccharide synthesis.
