Asymmetric trialkylaluminium addition to aldehydes catalyzed by titanium complexes of N-sulfonylated amino alcohols with two stereogenic centers

The asymmetric methylation, ethylation and allylation of aldehydes using trialkylaluminium reagents catalyzed by titanium(rv) complexes of N-sulfonylated amino alcohols gave excellent enantioselectivities of up to 99% ee.
