Obesity Policy Spotlight: Childhood Obesity

Childhood obesity is a serious public health issue that threatens the health and well-being of the U.S. population.(1) Despite our knowledge of this epidemic there has been a fourfold increase in the prevalence of overweight children and adolescents during the past four decades, creating a need for increased population-focused policy using the best available evidence on this important topic.
