Molar enthalpies of vaporization Delta (g)(1)H(m)degrees of hexanol-1, octanol-1, and the C-10-C-16 linear alkanols have been derived from the temperature dependence of the vapor pressure measured by the transpiration method. Results obtained from this work together with the data available from the literature have been compared with predictions using the extended real associated solution model (ERAS-model) for the molar enthalpies of vaporization Delta (g)(1)H(m)degrees (298.15 K) of the straight-chained alcohols measured in this work and some branched alcohols. @ 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
