Electrochemically polymerized electroactive poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) containing covalently bound dopant ions:: poly {2-(3-sodiumsulfinopropyl)-2,3-dihydrothieno[3,4-b][1,4]dioxin}

A self doped electroactive homopolymer where the counterion is covalently bound to the polymer chain, poly[2-(3-sodiumsulfinopropyl)-2,3-dihydrothieno[3,4-b] [1,4]dioxin), was synthesized electrochemically and its electrochemical and optical properties were studied.
